TOM SAYS: a nice, simple, well-finished, small screwgate carabiner at a reasonable price. I use one as a link between my climbing-harness belay loop and my rappel device carabiner to get the Rappel Device oriented flat. And I have a few others on my harness for other things, thus saving a bit of weight vs. carrying all Round-stock carabiners which are best for rigging and Ti-blocking, and as a rappel device carabiner.

A nice, largish, locking carabiner at a good price. Keylock nose means less snagging, screwgate lock mechanism resists clogging. Not exactly round stock, but pretty close, and very nicely finished.
August 26, 2026: I love the Gold version of this ‘biner - but the supplier is out of them until DECEMBER!!! Crazy!
