Panameta Canyon, Grand Canyon NP, Feb 2011

Went on a little float trip, with a few short hikes thrown in…

Well, perhaps I dis-exaggerate. But here’s a sweet canyon we did on Feb 21st, off a Grand Canyon Float trip, down Panameta Canyon – a Redwall Slot in an upper sidecanyon of Matkatamiba. From a camp at the Matkat Hotel, we sat out a day of rain, then hiked the rim into Matkat, up to a break, then around to the top of Panameta. Sweet Canyon!!!

Then back to camp for a fine meal!  Gotta love float trips, a fine way to travel.
