Monkey Business
Day 4 was the center of it all. We had new people from all over the place show up. The 2nd ward, Randi and Michelle from California, Rob Heineman, Ryan Cornia, AJ and Jonas, and a whole slew of others I am probably not mentioning. It was a party for sure.
Of course, the big group of people also presented a challenge. With only one canyon day for many of the folks, everyone wanted to stick together. Apparently, when you cook for the group, you attain celebrity-like status and everyone insists on sharing the canyon with you the next day. No big deal for Spidey, Scott, and Mav. They're used to it, I'm sure. So a plan was hatched for a descent of Monkey Business, with something like 22 or 23 people going through at one time.
Needless to say, we all made it through in great time, without incident. I don't understand why Monkey B doesn't get more play. Perhaps it is overshadowed by it's sister to the east? At any rate, the canyon is very enjoyable, and the corkscrew rappel is a very unusual feature. Another good canyon day, and great company.
