It HAS become a tradition, this being the fifth incarnation, of this wonderfully absurd but it seems to work out canyon festival in the middle of the winter. The January 1st run through the Black Hole of White Canyon has become the keystone. Temps are usually manageable, bad weather can create problems.

This year, FF ran from December 26th to Jan 2nd. I had a bit of a head cold so missed out on the first day, in Chambers Canyon. Then I made it for the next day in Limbo, but woke up the next morning with a head full of snot, so I headed home for a few days, to return for Hard Day Harvey and the Black Hole. While I was gone, the kids took a lap through Sandthrax and had a 'fun' day escaping from Shenanigans.

For this Rave, I have text and pictures from a variety of people, especially for days that I was not there. Thanks to Hank and Malia for great pics, and Ram, Dave and Rob for text.
