Deer Creek and Yo Fest - October 2004 - Yo Fest Page 4
Sunday.

The boat drops us off, we climb up Moki steps and head out across the desert. John comes up with a GPS unit at the right moment, and we figure out where we are and where we are going. Past the Giant Head. Cross five or six drainages. Up, down, up, down. Keep an eye on the sky - nope, not going to rain around here. We find a side canyon and scout - YES - it drops into the main canyon without major difficulties...

To the RUBBER SUITS!! Quick, before it rains! And, we head into the Child's Play start with today's team.

Pulling Pitney out of a hole, again! I wanted to drag him around in the mud for awhile, but he escaped my grasp. Photo: John Hart
Enjoying himself for sure
Course he does that, just so he can hug the cute girls. I'm not stand-offish, I'm just cold! Photo: John Hart.
Enjoying herself?
Soon we came to the only big rappel in the canyon. Bit of an awkward one. Here's Judy getting ready to step over the edge.
Slickrock
And lower down, this fun climbing slot brings us down to lake level.

Then the boat showed up, and we went home.
