I moved to Zion in 2008 to lead canyoneering, climbing, and biking trips for Zion Adventure Company. I met Tom, a fellow guide, while working there, and was introduced to the big, wild, friendly world of canyoneering.
I now guide for Backroads Travel, hiking and biking in Death Valley, Zion, Bryce, Arches, Canyonlands and Grand Canyon most of the year, and spend the rest of my time playing outside in the area. I'm a big fan of Southern Utah and love the uncrowded skiing, ice climbing, rock climbing, trail running, and biking around here (and yes, you CAN do all these things in Southern Utah!).
But before you think I'm really cool, let me admit: I'm a grammar and spelling nerd in Patagonia clothing! I love to read, write and re-write, which lead me to my role at CUSA. I help organize content from Tom's book and internet resources, and try to make our descriptions clear and helpful so YOU can go out and enjoy the places that we love.
